About
I have thirty years of experience in biometrics and smart card technology, including fourteen years in management, and have created algorithms, products, solutions and patents for Siemens, Giesecke + Devrient, BMW, NEXT Biometrics and Zwipe.
I have built and led international, multi-cultural teams of up to seventy contributors, and have led pivotal changes in technology and product strategy for the commercial success of start-up companies. My experience covers large-scale deployment and operation of passports, national ID cards, readers and border control.
Scientific papers and lectures complement my professional life. For many years I have been an active contributor to inter-industry standardization and a mentor to distinguished students. A wide professional network helps me solve technical and organizational problems, and find the right talent, customers and suppliers globally.
